Nampak Plastics Europe
  • Nampak wanted to switch to food grade lubricants to reduce the risk of contamination from machinery lubricants and become food grade compliant.
  • Nampak has reduced the risk of food contamination by choosing a lubricant product line proven to be plant tough and food safe to service their nine plants located in the UK.
  • By relying on PURITY FG, Nampak is better able to focus on what it does best—producing eco-friendly, weight-sensitive containers for food and beverage manufacturing industries in their key markets.

About Nampak Plastics

Nampak Plastics Europe was formed in 1999 when two well-established UK blow-moulding companies—Plysu and BlowMocan—were merged by South African-owned Nampak. The company has since become the leading UK manufacturer and supplier of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) containers, and has carved out a significant position in the dairy and juice bottle markets in the European, African and South African territories. An early adopter of food safety measures, Nampak is committed to being at the forefront in packaging innovation. Nampak employs approximately 600 people across nine sites, and produces over 2 billion bottles per year.

“After years of relying on Petro-Canada Lubricants’ conventional lubricants, we switched to their high performing PURITY FG Food Grade product line to reduce the risk of food contamination. Our customers can be confident that their products are safe. As an added benefit, we have experienced cost savings as a result of the longevity of the oil.”
