Racco Iron and Metals
  • Racco Iron and Metals has been picking up, processing and shipping scrap metal for over 20 years
  • Steve Racco, General Manager for Racco Iron and Metals, was finding that the company was replacing worn components, such as pins and bearings, in its equipment about every four months, even though they had a regular maintenance and lubrication program.
  • Racco was using conventional multipurpose grease and decided to make a switch. He tried Petro-Canada’s PRECISIONTM XL EP2, a premium, long-life, lithium complex grease, and hasn’t looked back.
  • “PRECISION XL EP2 is the best grease on the market for me,” says Racco. “My equipment runs much better, the longevity of the parts has increased significantly, and my operation has less downtime”.

Equipment at mine

“Since switching to PRECISION XL EP2, the equipment is running really smoothly all the time. The machine parts are not as slack as they used to be and they’re not wearing down as often.”
