Petro-Canada Lubricants (PCLI) has been selected by Caterpillar to collaborate on the lubricant development contract in support of a Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV) Efficiency program sanctioned by Energy Technologies Institute. PCLI will join other industry partners in this program collaboration.

By bringing together complementary capabilities of global industrial groups, the program seeks to accelerate development of cost-effective low-carbon energy technologies. “We believe it’s important to bring together industry leading experts in order to identify innovative solutions,” says Howard McIntyre, vice president, Lubricants.

The program focuses on the potential development of unique next generation lubricants and an introduction to innovative driveline technologies. Field trials are on-going.
